The artist’s personal world, the one that is specifically her own and which springs from the essence of her being, here receives its form and shape. In the way that passers-by use the tree as a carrier on which to inscribe their feelings, their name, an injury, some personal distinctive mark… signs of their existence that take on a life of their own, fused therein into a random, harmonious whole by a totally natural process... In this way she holds on to traces of her life and records them.
In a quasi natural way, coupled to acts of pondering and reflecting, coalescing with dreams, memories, desires, fears, conscious observation, sadness and joy, all those cosmic impulses that from deep within one’s inner being rise to the surface, as the buds that blossom forth from the tree, in brief pictographs, cast into spontaneous moulds, carved into the bark, in this manner is this work created.
A symbiosis of realities that generate impulses to fashion thoughts and turn into a specific world all their own, a virtual world. The driving force is always life itself that subsequently creates in an image an incidental composition and later still triggers the processes of consciousness. G.C.
